Macomer – Bosa

Program of the day:

08:45 Meeting of the participants with the guides at the station ARST of Macomer, ready to embark on a journey into the authentic heart of Sardinia.
09:00  departure. We set off aboard the famous Trenino Verde, which winds its way slowly across the basalt plateau through landscapes of rare beauty, shaped by millennia of pastoral tradition. First stop to the ancient Cistercian abbey of S.Maria di Corte dated 1147 and considered among the oldest in Europe. After the guided visit to the monastic complex, departure on board of the Trenino Verde. Our journey continues along the basaltic plateau entering territories marked by the ancient pastoral tradition, up to the station of Tinnura for a visit to the Village of Art, where colourful murals tell the story and capture the spirit of an entire community. Here, a delicious stop awaits us: a generous platter of typical local produce, accompanied by a good glass of red wine, and to round it all off, the exquisite Malvasia wine and fragrant, handmade Sardinian biscuits,

12:15 pm On arrival at Tresnuraghes station, we’ll say goodbye to the train and continue by coach back to Bosa and Macomer.

On arrival in Bosa (especially for travellers returning to Macomer), there is the option of a short guided tour of the town or some free time.
At 3.00 pm, departure for Macomer.

For those who wish, there’s the option to return to Macomer by train (arriving at approximately 16:15).

In the morning, there is the option of taking the shuttle bus from Bosa to Macomer, departing at 08.15 (to be requested and confirmed at the time of booking).
